Nothing is more unpleasant than waking up in the middle of August with a non-functional A/C! What makes the situation worse? You just bought the house 6 months ago!
While this situation is an Arizonans worst nightmare it is also extremely common. Things break, malfunction, or need tune ups on a regular basis that’s just one of the joys of home ownership. However, if you have a Home Warranty these common mishaps will be less stressful on you and your wallet.
Home Warranties are an optional purchase that many REALTORS recommend to clients purchasing a home. Most plans range from $450 to $700 and cover items such as electrical and plumbing systems, appliances, A/C and heating units, and pools and their equipment.
Home Warranty Policies are purchased for a year. Should your fridge start leaking or you’re A/C start making a weird noise you can give your home warranty company a call and for a small service fee (usually around $75-100) they will dispatch a repair company. If the repair is within the guidelines of your policy, it will be done at no cost to you.
If you are thinking of buying a new home, ask your Realtor to request a Home Warranty! I make sure all my Buyers walk away with a year warranty and help them renew their policy a year later. Protect your investment, by protecting yourself.
