I have started to spotlight a New Home community each week throughout the Valley and this week I went to Verrado, a master planned community in Buckeye. The builder I chose was Meritage and the neighborhood, “Kensington“.
Verrado has a lot to offer and that’s why it made the top-50 selling master planned communities in the country for the past year. There are desirable schools, a grocery store (with another to follow soon), restaurants, some small retail businesses & medical offices, parks galore and even community centers for fitness, classes & activities and pools! Many of the streets are tree-lined with some of the original phase now seeing shade from side to side. It’s unique to the valley as there are a lot of front porches, which really creates a sense of community pride.
Meritage has long been regarded as a quality builder and very energy efficient. One of their building methods is using spray foam insulation on the underside of the roof, as seen below.
They feature two models to tour, the Shasta, a single-level home just over 3,000 Sq Ft and then a two-story Whitmore, which is about 4,300 Sq Ft. Remember, any new home model will be decked out with a lot of bells & whistles to show you what’s possible, but that comes with a hefty price tag. A good rule of thumb is to add about 15% of the base price on top for normal options & upgrades. We can provide experienced insight into what makes sense and what doesn’t during the process. Read more HERE about why you should contact us before ever going into a new builder alone.
The price range for this community starts about $300K and goes to $400K. There are other options in Verrado and across the valley so please give us a call @ 623-203-2264 when you’re ready to look into new homes!
